Robert Befus

Chief Executive Officer
Presentation Strategies Inc.

Mr. Befus was born in Nairobi, Kenya, Africa, but spent most of his early years in South America (Peru, Argentina and Brazil). In 1969 his family moved back to New Providence, NJ where Befus attended high school. He later moved to Kalamazoo, MI where he attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.

In 1982 Befus co-founded Spectrum Multi Media Inc. as a full service presentation graphics company specializing in the presentation needs of medical and pharmaceutical organizations. From 1982 to 2004, as president, Befus managed day-to-day operations and directed the company’s growth and development.

In 1991, Befus planned and implemented the expansion of the company to Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The North Carolina office opened for business on February 10, 1992. The growth of the NC operation prompted Befus to move the company headquarters there in 1997. On February 1, 2001, Spectrum Multimedia, Inc. became Presentation Strategies Inc., a change which reflected the company’s focus on helping customers prepare for and deliver strategically important presentations.

Presentation Strategies (PStrat) has remained at the forefront of presentation development and today is recognized as a premier provider of interactive production services to the pharmaceutical industry. In 2004 PStrat was ranked as the top regional multimedia production company by the Triangle Business Journal.

Befus served on the board of directors for the International Association of Presentation Professionals (IAPP), and is the current chair of the Presentations Council for the International Communications Industry Association. Befus has been a contributor of presentation and business management articles to various publications and as a presentation technology expert, teaches advanced presentation design techniques in a variety of corporate settings.

Mr. Befus lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife Sandy and their four children.
