“Instead of going over all the options here, I’m going to highlight the tools and some of the methods we use to create Rocketboom because, consequently, I have amassed what I would call not just a killer app, but a killer briefcase filled with lots of killer apps that all together allow us to see all video, hear all video and speak all video, not to mention create, tweak and seek. I haven’t been stopped by a file yet (knock on wood).
“This is what we use to make Rocketboom: “

Unscripted Joke Goes Wrong
Rarely a good idea. This might be a good resource to share with clients that are prone to this sort of thing. Additional examples by other speakers at the end of the article.

Well, not a crisis per se… maybe I am experiencing identity opportunities. I spent the last few months of 2005 and the first month of 2006 intensly engaged in presentation development on an FDA presentation project for a client in New Jersey. Those of you who have done this kind of work know how intense and all-consuming it is. And I love this kind of work, even though I don’t get an opportunity to do it much anymore. I love it because these projects allow us to work side by side with clients in a very stressful venture. We become an integral part of their team and have the chance to make a real positive difference in their lives.
After this project concluded with a successful FDA advisory committee meeting in January, I jumped right into a critical long term business development project… one I believe is crucial to the long term success of our company … and probably about as far away from presentation development as one can get.
In addition, my personal computing technology has undergone dramatic change. I have been using my new MacBook Pro for for a few weeks now as my primary laptop, along with my Dell (used mostly for testing software now) and my Motion tablet. It was only last week though that I installed the beta bootloader program that allows me to run both Windows and OSX on its Intel chipset. I have been very pleasantly surprised with this solution, even though the current version has no video drivers, no internal audio, on Isight driver and “right-click” is a little awkward (ctrl+shift+F10). All in all, I am very pleased with the performance and speed of this early beta version.
Finally, I have been using the beta version of PPT 12 for a few months now (through Microsoft’s Beta Program), now running on the Windows boot of the MacBook Pro.
Maybe you can see why I have been a bit confused lately. Am I presentation professional or company executive? A PC person or a Mac person? Some new hybrid of all of these I suppose… maybe a presentation executive MAPC who is just trying to find his way around PowerPoint 12… and loving it al.
